Class of 2023

Sarina Pesinkowski

Korrina May Cummings

Bachelor of Arts Psychology
Minor in Anthropology

Korrina started at NVU-Johnson in 2019 right out of high school and credits her parents Shawn and Katherine Cummings as the foundation for her success: “I would not be where I am today without their constant adoration and comfort.” Her younger sister, Cloe, is a role model for academic excellence and a strong work ethic, and Korrina has received a lot of support through Cloe’s continued guidance. Her two cats, Chanel and Coco, have helped her to balance her stress and keep her grounded throughout her education. Korrina says the support of her friends and family as a whole have helped her to complete her degree and graduate this semester, and she could not feel more grateful.

Korrina interned in spring 2023 with the Lamoille County Special Investigation Unit Child Advocacy Center in Hyde Park. There, she saw first-hand how the system to protect children works in Vermont, and she learned she wanted to be part of it. After graduation, she plans to pursue a career in Child and Family Services and expects to pursue a master’s degree in psychology in the next few years.
